Familiarising the student with calculators, evaluating the appropriateness of their use in different situations involving calculation.
Knowledge type: declarative, procedural
Learning outcomes: To use and associate numbers, their basic operations, symbols and forms of mathematical expression and reasoning. To apply calculation algorithms and elements of logic in order to identify the validity of reasoning. To solve problems related to everyday life and the working world. To select appropriate techniques in order to perform a calculation, representing and interpreting reality based on available information. To use a calculator as an instrument to facilitate performing repetitive or complex calculations and as an instrument to validate the accuracy of a calculation.
prerequisite knowledge: Entering data and basic calculation operations. Using the cumulative memory and memory subtraction.
