Learning object in which the student must identify the word type based on the position of the accented syllable. The intent is to introduce the student to the correct placement of the accent mark, stressing words that are often confused.
Knowledge type: declarative, procedural
Learning outcomes: General: To develop individual work habits involving effort and responsibility when studying, as well as attitudes such as self-confidence, personal initiative, curiosity and interest. To know and use the Spanish language correctly. Initiation in the use of information and communication technologies for learning purposes, developing a critical spirit towards the messages they receive and create. Specific: Of a conceptual (declarative) nature: To identify the accented syllable within a word. To place the accent mark on the stressed syllable when necessary, according to the general rules for accentuation. Of a procedural nature: Identify the position of the accented syllable within a word. To distinguish meanings among homophones, based on the position of the accented syllable. To use diacritical accents correctly. To identify unstressed syllables. Of an attitudinal nature: To identify spelling errors and understand their importance in written language. To appreciate the importance of correct writing and written language as a means of transmitting information. To reflect upon the importance and the value of one's own language.
prerequisite knowledge: Writing acquisition and knowledge of the general spelling rules and word accentuation.
