Knowing oneself as an essential condition for recognising emotions and self-control.
General Objectives: Recognise and assess the necessity for knowledge of oneself as a basis for the processes of personal improvement and self-esteem. Specific: Distinguish between self-concept and self-esteem Recognise the characteristics and values of others that are considered positive. Assess the knowledge of oneself by identifying one's own characteristics. Instigate self-reflection. Contents Conceptual Knowledge (declarative): Self-concept Procedural self-esteem: Distinction between self-concept and self-esteem Relationship between characteristics perceived with positive consequences for the people who possess them: sociability, assertiveness, communication, self-confidence, respect for others, self-discipline, reflection? Analysis of the importance of recognising the qualities in others for our attitude self-concept: Assessment of the knowledge of oneself. Interest in recognising and modifying, if appropriate, personal aspects which affect personal wellbeing and the groups to which we belong. Prior knowledge: Not needed.
