Everyday difficulties in using public transport.

Orientazio didaktikoa:

General Objectives: To raise awareness of the difficulties for people with disabilities of making use of the right to public transport and mobility. Specific: To analyse everyday situations which demonstrate the difficulty of using public transport for people with disabilities. To recognise systems and aids which facilitate the exercise of the right to use public transport under equal conditions for all users. To observe how little public transport is used - particularly in urban areas - by people with disabilities, and to reflect on the causes for this. Contents - Knowledge Conceptual (declarative): Right to mobility Accessiblity and adaptation of public transport Procedural: Observations of situations related to public transport (vehicles and stations) which demonstrate the difficulty or impossibility of making use of the right to public transport for people with disabilities. Linkage of these difficulties with decreased personal autonomy. Identification of systems and aids which facilitate access and use of public transport for people with motor (platforms, ramps, special places within vehicles) and sensory (luminous and acoustic signs) disabilities. Attitude: To raise awareness of aspects which make access to and use of public transport difficult for people with disabilities. Prior knowledge: Not necessary. Access the learning guide for the object.
