To become aware of the invisibility of a huge group of people in some everyday social situations.

Teaching orientation:

General Objectives: To raise awareness of the invisibility of people with disabilities in everyday situations and to reflect on the reasons for this. Specific: To analyse why people with disabilities are often absent from everyday situations (transport, stadiums, bars). To reflect on the need to provide support which enables access for people with disabilities everywhere. Contents - Knowledge Conceptual (declarative): Social invisibility Causes of social invisibility of people with disabilities: difficulties of access, family over-protection, lack of support services Procedural: Observation of the everyday locations which are difficult to access for people with disabilities. To recognise that the invisibility of these people reduces the social perception of the need to provide support for them. Attitude: To raise awareness of aspects which make it difficult for people with disabilities to take part in the everyday life of the community. Prior knowledge: Not necessary. Access the learning guide for the object.
