In this unit we will be working with the contracted form of the verb "?have got", and will review and extend vocabulary related to pets.
Objectives: To review the use and functions of the contracted forms of the verb "to have"?. Specific: To learn to use the contracted forms of the verb "?to have"? (in the context of pets usually found at home), both with and without pronoun subjects. Conceptual (declarative): Review of the contracted forms of the verb to have (ve got, s got, havent got, hasnt got with pronoun and non-pronoun subjects). Review of pet vocabulary (cat, dog, hamster, parrot, tortoise, goldfish, canary, budgie, etc.) Procedural: Matching text-audio and illustrations. Matching full and contracted forms of the verb to have. Differentiating the s form of the verbs to be and to have. Completing an e-mail with the names of animals in the image. Completing an e-mail with the contracted forms of the verb to have. Attitude: Recognising and valuing the importance of knowing how to read and write a foreign language as a way of communicating with people from other countries.
