Learning outcomes: General: To understand oral and written discourse in the different contexts associated with school, social and cultural activities, and to analyse them critically. To express oneself orally and in written form, in a manner that is appropriate for the different contexts associated with school, social and cultural activities, in order to meet communicative needs. To use the basic language skills effectively in school activities in order to search for, collect and process information, and to write texts of one's own in an academic environment. To use knowledge about language and the rules of linguistic usage for modern Spanish in order to speak and write in an appropriate, coherent and correct manner. Specific: To edit a text. To know the basic techniques for emphasising information in a text. To practise techniques for illustrating texts.
prerequisite knowledge: None necessary. The Learning Object may represent an initiation to the use of a word processor, or a simulation of one, for some students.
