In this learning sequence we look at the history of democracy, from its origins to the development of western societies.
General Objectives: To find out about the history of democracy. Specific: To prepare an on-line audio-visual project. To introduce digital literacy. To find out about democratic values through audio-visual images. To be a protagonist in their own story. To research historic figures related to democracy. Contents - Knowledge Conceptual (declarative): History of democracy: the birth of democracy in Athens. Procedural: To research the history of democracy. Attitude: The development of democracy. Prior knowledge: Democracy: public mechanism, civil rights and democratic values. Access the learning guide for the object.
