We will examine the development of voting rights for women in the constitutions of western countries.

Orientación didáctica:

General Objectives: To find out about the development of voting rights for women in various countries. To analyse the differences in achieving voting rights for men and women. Specific: To understand the characteristics of the first countries to approve voting rights for women. To analyse the circumstances in countries where women currently do not have voting rights. To extract information and interpret it appropriately using statistical data. To use statistical data to research and describe differences in the development of voting rights for men and women in different countries. To provide evidence of discrimination against women in voting rights practically everywhere all over the world. Contents – Conceptual Knowledge (declarative): The development of voting rights for women. The first countries to grant women the vote: New Zealand, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Countries where women do not have the vote today: Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Oman? Procedural: Information search. Preparation of statistical charts with the information obtained. Interpretation of statistics. Drawing conclusions using graphic representation of information and explanatory texts. Attitude: To recognise and reject the inequality and discrimination suffered by women in terms of their rights. Prior knowledge: Information search strategies.- Working well in cooperative groups to debate and reach agreement. Access the learning guide for the object.
