This Learning Object presents a globe showing land and sea, which is a very intuitive way of showing the earth, so that users become aware of: their shape, movements, position in the universe and the distribution of land and water.

Conceptual Knowledge (declarative): Physical geography of the earth: The Earth, Globe, map, land, sea, rotation, translation. The big masses of land are called CONTINENTS. There are six continents. They are: AFRICA, ANTARCTICA, ASIA, OCEANIA, EUROPE and AMERICA. Which continent is the biggest? Which continent is the smallest? Which are the northern continents? Which are the southern continents? Which 2 continents are like a big triangle? Comparison of adjectives: -er, more than The superlative: the longest, the highest. Procedural: Differentiating the visible elements in a globe showing the land and sea. Giving brief description of these elements. Attitude: To develop interest and curiosity for learning knowledge already acquired about the earth in English. Recognising and evaluating the importance of knowing how to read and write a foreign language. Listening carefully to pronunciation of all the words.
