To find out about the abusive use of people, particularly those belonging to vulnerable social groups, using coercive measures.

Teaching orientation:

General Objectives: To recognise people trafficking as a form of slavery which affects vulnerable groups, particularly women and children. Specific: To understand the definition of people trafficking. To distinguish between people trafficking (coercion, exploitation and slavery) and illegal smuggling of people (based on a personal decision, illegal immigrants) recognition that smuggling may increase the risk of people trafficking. To identify the diverse causes of this: economic, social, political and cultural. To understand that sexual inequality and the vulnerability of children are elements in people trafficking. To recognise the objectives of people trafficking: sexual exploitation (prostitution, sexual tourism and other forms of exploitation), forced labour or services, organ trafficking. To evaluate the consequences for people (physical and psychological) and society (organised crime) of people trafficking. Contents ?
