General Objectives: To recognise slavery as a form of dependence of one person on another in which one regards the other as merchandise to exploit for economic gain, and in which one loses their human dignity while the other acts as their owner. To recognise current forms of slavery: People trafficking, child labour, sexual slavery and servitude for debts. To identify the right to not be a slave as a basic human right To awaken rejection of human relationships based on submission. To encourage socially-responsible attitudes to people subject to forms of slavery or dependency in which their human dignity is affected. Contents ?
