To list the protocols and the underlying physical-logical elements that are necessary for the correct operation of the FTP model. To know the most relevant functions of FTP servers, as well as the characteristics of different products that implement them. To acquire skills for using different FTP clients, understanding their functions, as well as naming their main characteristics, such as access methods (anonymous, user or guest), understanding the access limits represented by the authentication methods. To differentiate among the uses of this protocol embedded in the main electronic transfer tools. To be able to differentiate between the peculiarities of active and passive connection modes, recognising their properties.
