To select appropriate techniques in order to perform a calculation, representing and interpreting reality based on available information. To use a calculator as an instrument to facilitate performing repetitive or complex calculations and as an instrument to validate the accuracy of a calculation.
prerequisite knowledge: Concept of a power of a number. Concept of a square root of a number. Basic functions on a calculator.
