This Learning Object demonstrates this narrative technique, tracing the path from literary ellipsis to ellipsis in films.

Learning outcomes: General outcomes: To use ellipsis to structure the narration of a video clip. Specific outcomes: To distinguish among the different types of ellipsis used in films. To understand how to handle time. To be familiar with the Windows Movie Maker (or equivalent) application interface. To be familiar with the icon bar. To know the menu options (those necessary to perform the activities). To cut clips.
prerequisite knowledge: Literary ellipsis. Use of a mouse and a keyboard.
