To learn about and analyse the influence of the primary sector on the Community.

Orientació didàctica:

KNOWLEDGE TYPE: declarative, procedural

PRIOR KNOWLEDGE:prior knowledge is required of the content discussed in the OA; it is assumed that the subject of agriculture and livestock farming in La Rioja will have been studied previously in the classroom

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to study in detail the wine-making industry in the Community

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that agriculture in La Rioja has increased its yield through the mechanisation of agriculture, the increase in irrigated land, the use of fertilizers and new techniques

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn about the different activities undertaken within the primary sector in the Community, in agriculture and livestock farming, and how influential and important this sector is to the Community's economy

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn about the distribution of crops according to the regions: Rioja Alta, Media and Baja

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that the vine is one of the most representative crops of the Community and that it has resulted in a wine-growing industry, producing and marketing wines of a very high quality and prestige both nationally and internationally
