La Ilíada es una epopeya griega formada por 15693 versos, divididos en 24 cantos. Su autoría se le atribuye a Homero y se le considera el poema más antiguo escrito de la literatura occidental. Los acontecimientos narrados tienen lugar durante el décimo y último año de la guerra de Troya.

The Iliad is an ancient Greek epic poem written about in the eighth century. BC. and the seventh century BC. It is believed that before writing was transmitted for centuries by oral tradition. Traditionally atributed to Homer, the poem narrow the ten-year siege of the city of Troy.
