La Ilíada es una epopeya griega formada por 15693 versos, divididos en 24 cantos. Su autoría se le atribuye a Homero y se le considera el poema más antiguo escrito de la literatura occidental. Los acontecimientos narrados tienen lugar durante el décimo y último año de la guerra de Troya.
Al final, para entender mejor el material estudiado, se ofrece un examen de comprobación de lectura, preguntas para discusión y una lista de lecturas sugeridas. La introducción está en español mientras que el resumen de los capítulos y los demás materiales en inglés.
The Iliad is an ancient Greek epic poem written about in the eighth century. BC. and the seventh century BC. It is believed that before writing was transmitted for centuries by oral tradition. Traditionally atributed to Homer, the poem narrow the ten-year siege of the city of Troy. In order to a better understand of the material, buenastareas.com, provides a set of exams, questions and a brief explanation about the main characteres of the story and the symbology of the different topics trated in the book such as the honor, the glorry, etc.
