Máirín Bean Uí Dhalaigh (née Nic Dhiarmada; 30 November 1908 – 25 January 1994) was a scholar of the Irish language and the wife of Cearbhall Ó Dálaigh, who served as President of Ireland from 1974–76.In 1931, while a student in University College Dublin, Nic Dhiarmada gave an address on "Women in Irish life long ago" which Philip O'Leary described in 2004 as "unapologetically feminist". In 1934 she married Cearbhall Ó Dálaigh. The couple had no children. In 1983, five years after her husband's death, she was appointed to the Council of State by his successor as President, Patrick Hillery.
