Specific outcomes: To define the concept of protocol, using the specific example of ftp, as well as its characteristics. To understand the protocols that are behind peer-to-peer communications. To identify the characteristics of the different ftp and peer-to-peer applications. To know and identify the basic elements that make up the applications that use ftp and p2p networks. To know and use the ftp download functions of a web browser. To take the necessary steps to perform a file transfer. To manage connections to different ftp servers effectively.
