This Learning Object concerns how to use and manage an FTP client, for example, Filezilla, in order to download and upload files.
Knowledge type: declarative, procedural
prerequisite knowledge: Typical knowledge upon completion of the 2nd year of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), average ability when using a computer. .
Learning outcomes: General outcomes: To give students the skills they need to transfer files using an FTP client. Specific outcomes: To know and identify the basic elements that make up the Filezilla application. To take the necessary steps to perform a file transfer. To manage (establish, modify and eliminate) connections to different FTP servers. To know the different options for transfers: ASCII/binary mode, passive / non-passive mode, etc. To appreciate the importance of being able to access and share files globally.
