KNOWLEDGE TYPE: declarative, procedural
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE:prior knowledge of the subject of the location of the oceanic or Atlantic climate on the American continent is required. The subject must have been previously taught by the teacher in class and the students must have already acquired the necessary knowledge
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that this type of climate is located south of the oceanic climate, with four seasons, arid summers lasting from 3 to 5 months, scarce rainfall (300 - 800 mm anually), and with a moderate thermal amplitude (10 - 15 ºC)
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that the Mediterranean climate is found in central and southern California (USA), and on the coast of Chile in the area of Santiago and the Chilean Central Valley
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that the Mediterranean climate is also known by this name in Arthur Strahler's classification
