The educational resource shows a visual about the apparent gravity: the gravitational field intensity, g, is not the same everywhere on the surface of the earth. If the period of the rotation were different, g would also be different.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES : To know that the value of gravitational field intensity depends on the latitude of the observation point and the speed of rotation of the Earth.
