Field Marshal (mar?chal) Bernard Law Montgomery, 1er vicomte Montgomery of Alamein, KG, GCB, DSO, PC (tr?s souvent r?f?renc? par son surnom ? Monty ?) (17 novembre 1887, Londres - 24 mars 1976, Alton) est un officier d'infanterie britannique au d?but de la Premi?re Guerre mondiale, puis un officier sup?rieur membre de l'?tat-major britannique au cours de l'entre-deux-guerres. Il exerce des responsabilit?s de commandement ?minentes pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et surtout apr?s le retour ? la paix, en tant que chef de l'?tat-major imp?rial (C.I.G.S.) de 1946 ? 1949, puis commandant adjoint des forces de l'OTAN de 1951 ? 1958.
