Ayse Hatun I (c. 1453 - c. 1504, Ottoman Turkish: ????? ?????) was the fourth wife of Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II and the stepmother of Selim I. She was born in Elbistan, the daughter of Ala?ddevle Bozkurt Bey, eleventh ruler of the Dulkadirids centered around Elbistan in Maras. She was married to Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II in 1469 at Amasya, and died at Trabzon in 1505 long before Selim I?s accession to the Ottoman throne.Although it has been asserted by some researchers that Ayse Hatun might be the biological mother of Yavuz Sultan Selim, the most recent investigations revealed that the actual biological mother of Selim I is G?lbahar Hatun, who had died two years before her son?s accession to the throne.
