It stars Sarah Boyd, Rainbow Harvest, Danny Aiello, Neill Barry, Roxanne Hart, Alyssa Milano and Susan Kingsley. It was written and directed by Marisa Silver and produced by Dina Silver, daughters of film director Joan Micklin Silver.Set in 1984 in New York, Old Enough is the story of a teenage girl, Karen Bruckner, from the "wrong side of the tracks" (played by Harvest), whose father (played by Aiello) is the superintendent of the rundown apartment complex in which they live. Her friend, Lonnie Sloane, is a rich, well-bred 11 year-old (played by Boyd). Milano, in her film debut, plays Lonnie's sister Diane. A low-budget production, the film won the Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic award at the Sundance Film Festival.
