MAIN TASK: The main task is as follows: in groups of four, students study the characteristics of water. Each pupil analyses one of its features: density, melting point, boiling point and solubility. Each group writes a single report, i.e. they must complete a text which compiles the information about the characteristics of water. OBJETIVE: The primary aim of this sequence is to discover and learn about the characteristics of water. To make this aim as attractive as possible, the sequence takes place in the laboratory. First comes a virtual practical, with the aid of an animation. It then moves on to a real practical activity in the laboratory.
