General Objectives: To raise awareness of aspects which make access to housing and autonomy in the home difficult for people with disabilities Specific: To analyse the things in the various parts of a home which make it difficult for people with physical or mental disabilities to be autonomous. To understand the concept of accessible accommodation To recognise the difficulties of access to housing, and, therefore also of leaving it, resulting in people with disabilities becoming invisible in everyday situations. To find out about the architectural, functional and technical elements which an accessible home adapted for the disabled should have. Contents - Knowledge Conceptual (declarative): Adapted accommodation Accessible buildings Architectural, functional and technical elements Procedural: Analysis of situations which make it difficult or impossible for people with disabilities to be autonomous in their home. Observation of the adaptations which make autonomy possible in the home. To recognise the elements which make a home or building more or less accessible. Verification that things which increase the autonomy of people with disabilities do not adversely affect other people. Attitude: Assessment of what buildings and homes need in order to be accessible and adapted. Rejection of buildings and functional elements which make the autonomy of people with disabilities and their right to a home difficult.
