PRIOR KNOWLEDGE:prior knowledge is required of the geography of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja and of the location of its protected natural spaces. It is assumed that the student will have worked previously in class on this content

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that in La Rioja there are different types of protected natural spaces depending on the legislation giving rise to them

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that through Community legislation, 6 ZEPAs (Special Bird Protection Areas) have been declared in our Community and that there is a proposal for 6 LICs (Sites of Community Interest), which combined will form what is known as the Natura 2000 Network

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn about the protected natural spaces existing in the Autonomous Community of La Rioja and the legislation that regulates their protection and that recognises them as such. To learn about their location and surface area
