Study of the different processes that occur during fertilisation, pregnancy and birth.

Teaching orientation:

Knowledge type: declarative, procedural

prerequisite knowledge: The knowledge acquired in the Primary year 3 is sufficient to understand the contents in this Sequence, although it is recommended to conduct a prior session on how to perform the activities.

Learning outcomes: General: To know the reproductive phases from the moment of fertilisation up to birth. To know how the pregnancy develops and the care that must be taken during this time by pregnant women. To know the intended objectives of ultrasounds during pregnancy and why this technique is used. To know the process of single, multiple and Caesarean births. Methods of preparation for birth. To know how babies must be cared for during the first three months of life. To show interest in knowing the care that should be taken during the processes of pregnancy and birth, and how to care for a baby. Specific: To use multimedia animation to explain all of the content material presented in this teaching sequence. To play the games and complete the questionnaires provided in order to strengthen the mastery of the content materials. To complete the final questionnaire in the sequence once all the Learning Objects have been performed.
