About this resource...

Practical intelligence is the highest demonstration of intelligence because it adds to the theoretical capacity for performing one´s talents. This is one of the lines of thought developed by philosopher and writer José Antonio Marina, who focused on the study of educational mobilization.

This article attempts to analyze this educational model based on the practical application of knowledge through one of its main exponents, Richard Gerver, author of 'Create today's school tomorrow.

From analysing this work it shows how it has led to the successful transformation of a conventional school in an exemplary educational model, a school to “make children jump out of bed as if we had promised to take them to Disneyland”, admits the author.

Not only does it work on the theoretical level, but it also applies their learning in real contexts creating a micro-community reflecting the outside world.
