Blended learning
DbpediaThing
Wikipedia articleDbpedia source
Blended learning is a formal education program in which a student learns at least in part through online delivery of content and instruction with some element of student control over time, place, path or pace. While still attending a “brick-and-mortar” school structure, face-to-face classroom methods are combined with computer-mediated activities. Proponents of blending learning cite the opportunity for data collection and customization of instruction and assessment as two major benefits of this approach. Schools with blended learning models may also choose to reallocate resources to boost student achievement outcomes.Babu M, Sameer (2009) defines Blended Learning as a fruitful effort in integrating live classroom activities including face-to-face instructions along with online learning and instructions so as to reap the maximum benefits by utilising the best elements of all through effective planning by an ideal facilitator.( Babu M, Sameer. One plus two is not always three: A look into the merits of Blended Learning. Paper presented in the National Workshop on Blended Learning. Mytreyi College, university of Delhi, Delhi-2009)
