Czechs, or Czech people (Czech: Ce?i, Czech pronunciation: ['t????], archaic Czech: Cechov? ['t??x?v??]) are a nation and an ethnic group native to the Czech Republic in Central Europe, who speak the Czech language. Historically, the Czech population known as Bohemians until the end of 19th century after the late Iron Age tribe of Boii and their land Bohemia, descended from peoples of Celtic origin, later mixing with West Slavic and Germanic settlers.Smaller populations of Czechs also live in the United States, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Slovakia, Australia and Argentina among others countries.
