This book is set in Norway, and is about Lisbeth Longfrock, a little girl who is sent to Hoel Farm in the place of her mother, who is ill. She discovers that she likes the farm, and when her mother passes away, she is taken in and given work there. She experiences farm life, and learns about all the different tasks expected of everyone.
It is an ebook from The International Children's Digital Library, a project of the ICDL Foundation in collaboration with the University of Maryland's Human-Computer Interaction Lab.
