Through a virtual scenario, the aim is to make the students: Know a wide range of social skills. Choose conflict solving techniques in the classroom. Apply mediation techniques in conflict solving. Perform the follow-up of the conflict management and teach the pupils assertive ways to solve conflicts.
TEACHING GOALS: GENERAL: To choose and apply conflict solving methods, analysing the personal and interpersonal variables of the pupils and using pedagogical resources. SPECIFIC CONCEPTUAL: 1. To recognise the different conflict solving programmes in the kindergarten classroom. 2.To programme educational intervention and social care for childhood. 3. To identify the information to be collected and the data collection methods. 4.To select and implement communication and participation dynamics, analysing the variables of the context and following the procedure established to apply intervention strategies with the pupils. 5. To identify attention needs in children and families requiring them. SPECIFIC PROCEDURAL: 1. To solve emergency situations and unforeseen events with the pupils. 2. To design educational activities and conflict solving strategies in the school environment. 3.To intervene with the pupils in order to make the conflict situation disappear. 4.To report on the conflict situation to the educational team, the families and other professionals if necessary. SPECIFIC ATTITUDINAL: 1. To appreciate the role of the teacher in detecting and reporting conflict situations in the classroom. 2. To assess the consequences of the school conflict either due to causes given inside the classroom or to other situations coming from outside. 3. To respect the different family situations of the pupils. 4. To take an interest in the importance of team work.
