Descrición:

A simulator of a physical map, highlighting some particularly important elements: the highest mountains, longest rivers, etc. (The Rocky Mountains, The Himalayas, The Nile, The Andes, The Amazon, etc.).

Orientación didáctica:

General Objectives: To learn and use all resources available, including new technology, with progressively greater independence to find information and communicate it in the foreign language. To write various types of texts with different objectives on the issues previously dealt with in class following models. Specific: To use certain strategies to learn to learn. To review knowledge of the earth and how it is represented: globe showing the land and sea, map of continents, major geographic accidents. Developing working habits, both individually and in groups, working with others to carry out the activities successfully. To respect socio-cultural aspects of various English-speaking countries. Contents - Conceptual Knowledge (declarative): To work with basic aspects of the physical geography of the earth, location, contents, oceans, hemispheres, climate,, etc. Procedural: Understanding specific information in messages. Identifying continents, oceans, climate, etc. Matching words and images. Writing and spelling correctly. Completing dialogues. Locating continents, oceans, climates, etc. on the map following appropriate directions. Attitude: Appreciating correct understanding and production of simple texts. A positive and optimistic attitude to learning a foreign language. Recognising and evaluating the importance of knowing how to read and write a foreign language. Listening carefully to pronunciation of all the words. Prior knowledge: Knowledge of English from the Second Stage of Primary education. Basic physical geography vocabulary in English: The earth, the globe showing the land and sea. Continents, oceans. Maps. The weather and the climate, changes of season, the water cycle. Access the learning guide for the object.
