Description:

In this last section we will collect information on the weather by observation and from reports and record this in the form of a “WEATHER CHART” (which we can mark with symbols).

Teaching orientation:

Objectives: General: To use information technology to understand and acquire vocabulary related to the weather. Specific: To analyse a weather map; to study the consequences of good and bad weather; and to recognise the symbols commonly used in weather forecasts. Content - Knowledge: Conceptual (declarative): Weather forecasts. Weather symbols. Different types of weather. Hot/Cold/Warm. Weather and the climates. Present Continuous tense ?to be?. Future Simple tense ?to be?. Procedural: Understanding specific information in messages. Matching words and images. Spelling correctly. Completing dialogues. Ordering sequences. Building phrases about a topic. To learn the basic vocabulary for the topic (just the words in bold). Attitude: Receptive and respectful attitude to people who speak a different language. Appreciating correct understanding and production of simple texts. A positive and optimistic attitude to learning a foreign language. Recognising and evaluating the importance of knowing how to read and write a foreign language. Interest in the climate where we live. Interest in knowing how instruments for measuring the weather work and how to use them. Prior knowledge: All the Vocabulary presented and worked on in the Learning Objects for this Sequence.
