About this resource...

Much has been written about Chicago, both in prose and poetry. In this worksheet, your student is asked to compare two passages about Chicago. One is from Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle, the other is Carl Sandburg’s poem, “Chicago.” It’s a good way to practice Common Core Standards for reading literature for 8th grade. Other students may also use it as necessary.

It is an educational content by K12 Reader.
