As a material is heated, the atomic or molecular vibrations become larger and the temperature increases. When sufficient heat is absorbed by the material, its solid structure breaks down and the material melts. This project looks for a correlation between the ability of selected to conduct heat and a material’s density.

It is an educational content by education.com.
By clicking on the title of this resource, you will be redirected to the content. Oftentimes you can find the mass of any object using a pan balance and can be measured in grams or kilograms. Density is the amount of mass a substance has in a certain volume. An easy way to test the density of objects is by placing them in water. If an object floats, its density is less than the density of water. If the object sinks, its density is greater than the density of water. Compare the mass and density of objects.

It is an educational content by education.com.
By clicking on the title of this resource, you will be redirected to the content. Water with a high salt concentration (salinity) is denser than water that has a lower salt concentration. Warmwater rises above densercolder water, and bodies of water thathave different temperatures can form layers according to their respective temperatures. Likewise, denser water with high salinity sinks below water with low salinity. How does the addition of salt to hot water affect its mixing with colder water?

It is an educational content by education.com.
By clicking on the title of this resource, you will be redirected to the content. Using a scientific instrument called a hydrometer, you can find out by precisely measuring the sugar content. Technically, a hydrometer measures any solids in a liquid, but since nearly all the dissolved solids in soda is sugar, it will work for this experiment. This experiment will examine and precisely measure the amount of sugar in various sodas.

It is an educational content by education.com.
By clicking on the title of this resource, you will be redirected to the content. Knowing how to produce a certain tone is important in composition. This experiment will measure how material and weight changes the sound decay of a note.

It is an educational content by education.com.
By clicking on the title of this resource, you will be redirected to the content.
