To learn about the characteristics of tropical and desert climates and their location on the Continent.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that the Equatorial climate occurs in the Amazon basin

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to know that the Tropical climate occurs in the Yucatan Peninsula and the Tehuantepec isthmus in Mexico, and in the peripheral regions of the River Amazon in South America

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that the Desert climate occurs in the interior deserts of Mexico, the peninsula of California and the interior valleys of the Rocky Mountains in North America, and in some Pacific coastal areas in South America

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that the equatorial climate is known by the name of "wet equatorial climate", the tropical climate is known by the name of "wet-dry tropical climate" and the desert climate is known by the names of "dry tropical climate" and "dry subtropical climate" in Arthur Strahler's climate classification

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:to learn that the "dry subtropical climate" (Desert) occurs in the deserts in the southern USA, to the east of the Rocky Mountains, in northern Mexico, in the Pampa and Patagonia in Argentina, and in the Gran Chaco

PRIOR KNOWLEDGE:prior knowledge of the subject "Location of the equatorial, tropical and desert climates in the American continent" is required. The subject must have been previously taught by the teacher in class and the students must have already acquired the necessary knowledge
