In this last unit, the user has to write an e-mail to their penpal using all the forms and vocabulary we have worked with in this sequence.
Objectives: To review earlier units. To use and practise the forms learnt in this section so as to reinforce them and make it possible to use them in real situations. Specific: To use the forms for giving and asking for personal information correctly. Conceptual (declarative): - Introducing yourself: Hi! My name is / I am years old./ I was born in / I live in / My fathers (mothers) name is / I have X brothers and sisters / I have a dog/cat/hamster / - Asking personal questions: Whats your name? / How old are you? Where were you born? / Where do you live? / Present simple of the verbs to be and to have in the affirmative, negative and interrogative forms (full and contracted). Procedural: Completing or writing a letter or e-mail (this could be directed, i.e. by the pupil responding to oral and written questions with the answers being collected in a matrix or array so that a document can be printed at the end of the activity). Attitude: To be aware of the importance of knowing other languages in order to be able to communicate with others. Prior knowledge: Having worked with these learning objectives earlier.
